이 예외는 사용자 또는 시스템으로 지정된 제한에 의해 메서드가 이상종료(ABEND) 했을 경우에 예외를 발생시킵니다. LimitExceededException는 사용자 또는 시스템으로 지정된 제한이다고 하는 점으로써, InsufficientResourceException와는 다릅니다. 예를 들어 메모리의 부족에 따라 요구가 종료하면, 자원이 불충분이 됩니다. 10개의 회답을 요구해 11개를 얻는 클라이언트에서는 사이즈 제한 예외가 됩니다.

이러한 제한의 예에는 사이즈, 시간, 호프수 등, 클라이언트와 서버의 구성상의 제한이 있습니다.
