1.4 릴리스에서는 이 예외는 범용적인 예외 체인 도구에 적합하도록 개량되고 있습니다. 구축시에 제공되어getIOException() 메서드를 개입시켜 액세스 되는 「인쇄 작업을 중단시키는 IOException」는 현재 「cause」메서드로서 알려져 있습니다. 또, 이것은 전술한 「종래의 메서드」라고와 같이 Throwable.getCause() 메서드를 개입시켜 액세스 할 수 있습니다.
